Companies belonging to the Tuscan District
The Railway Technology District of Tuscany was established by the Region. Managed from July 2011 to July 2014 by Pistoia Futura, its management was taken over from August 2014 by the “spin-off” company DITECFER S.c.ar.l., which was founded on the initiative of entrepreneurial and research entities belonging to the Tuscan District and which took over the brand created by Pistoia Futura in 2012 to support the promotion of the District.
This is the database of companies based in Tuscany belonging to the District created by the Tuscany Region. To join the Tuscan District, the companies have compiled and sent back a model document defined by the Region. Membership is free.

SCUOLA SUPERIORE SANT'ANNA is a leading scientific-body, internationally renowned for its R&S level. It includes six different institutes in the field of:

SCUOLA SUPERIORE SANT'ANNA has signed relevant partnership agreements with Trenitalia, the Italian Railway Network (RFI) and Finmeccanica group.
Together with its spin-off, SCUOLA SUPERIORE SANT'ANNA offers a complete technology transfer support for the requirements of its industrial player.
In the Rail sector, the TeCIP institute cooperates with major Italian transportation companies for the research and development of products. These cooperations take places for the industrial exploitation of novel scientific results in the fields of optical fibers, vision systems, distributed communication networks, robotics and virtual reality.
