ACCELERATION EVENT: "BLOCKCHAIN MADE EASY FOR SMEs AND EUROPEAN VALUE CHAINS"

DITECFER organises this event to help the Tuscan, national and European rail supply industry approach the Blockchain technology and its real potential. The event is organised in the framework of two EU projects DITECFER is coordinating (STARS – that makes it available to SMEs of the railway supply industry the STARS blockchain network as ‘gym’ to test the technology in use-cases for their growth – and EXXTRA) and in the framework of 2 Task Forces of ERCI-European Railway Clusters Initiative: “Cybersecurity in Railways” and “Multimodal Logistics”.

The event will last 3 days (the third day is open to DITECFER foreign partners):

• Day 1: ‘frontal-mode’ event , to (A) introduce the state of the art on Cybersecurity in Railways and challenges in Multimodal Logistics, as well as to introduce the Blockchain technology (B) present current use-cases of Blockchain technology in railway and multimodal sectors;
• Day 2: working event, looking for new use-cases of Blockchain technology in the railway, multimodality and supply chain environments, with pitch of ideas, networking, working groups, to help emerge potential ideas and collaborations for projects;
• Day 3: (open to DITECFER foreign partners) “From cave to port“, Visit on the field with jeeps along the Marble supply chain, to follow the process from sourcing to port shipping at Marina di Carrara Port of the first Tuscan sector having applied the Blockchain technology from which the STARS Blockchain network has been derived.
