DITECFER HOSTS THE TOP OF TURKISH RAILWAY INDUSTRY AND STATE RAILWAYS FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK

DITECFER has hosted a very large delegation composed by 26 representatives of the Turkish companies TCDD, TÜVASAŞ, TÜLOMSAŞ, TÜDEMSAŞ, Aselsan, Savronik, Ankara Metro and of the two Turkish Railway Clusters ARUS and RSC.

An incoming organised by DITECFER and realised thanks to the economic effort of the SMEs associated to DITECFER plus some DITECFER excellencies of FSI-Italian Railways Group and of the scientific world.
The entire initiative has been realised in the framework of the "Think Rail Buy Tuscany" project, co-funded by the Tuscany Region - Call "Internationalization 2015", under Tuscany POR FESR 2014-2020.
.

Further support has been given by the bank Cassa di Risparmio di Pistoia e della Lucchesia-Gruppo Intesa San Paolo, strategic partner to DITECFER for key initiatives at national and international level.
.

The Delegation has spent an entire week in Pistoia and Tuscany, from Monday 21st to Friday 25th. On the agenda several visits to laboratories, companies, scientific bodies, plus B2B to match business competences and needs for railway products and services even more performant and in line with the international challenges of the railway sector (more Capacity, more Safety, more Interoperability, less Energy consumption, etc.).

A very warm thanks to any single component of the Turkish Delegation for the value brought to DITECFER, and to any DITECFER Associate involved in this full and exciting week. The very first for DITECFER.

ROUND TABLE: "DESIGN 'MADE IN TUSCANY' FOR EXPERIENTIAL RAIL VEHICLES"

On the occasion of the visit in Italy of the West Bengal (India) delegation, DITECFER has organised for its Associates a dedicated round table on an issue linking the more classical "art made in Tuscany" with the know-how Tuscany has developed in the manufacturing of rail vehicles since more than one century: "Design 'made in Tuscany' for experiential Rail Vehicles".

Guest of honour Mr Umesh Chowdhary, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Titagarh Wagons Ltd. and of the italian manufacturer Titagarh Firema Adler.

The main inspiration for the discussion was the presentation by the Design Campus of University of Florence, that has recently launched a joint laboratory with Trenitalia in Calenzano-Firenze for training new Designers of Rail Vehicles.

The event was organised in collaboration with ArtValley, KPMG India and Confindustria Firenze.
